Grow Guided Growth Psychology Therapy Investment

You’re in the right place.

When was the last time you invested in yourself?

Investing time, money, and energy into therapy is akin to planting seeds of self-care and growth for your future.

It's a testament to your courage and commitment to discovering a better understanding of yourself and reshaping your life narrative.

Investment

There’s no doubt that therapy is a significant investment of emotional resources, time and money. At Guided Growth Psychology, our focus is to provide you with the most effective, individualized, care to support your healing journey.

To uphold this, we are not in-network or working for any insurance companies. Rather, we are ready and able to work directly with you. This choice grants you increased privacy, flexibility in session lengths & frequency, and a tailored treatment plan. We do encourage all of my clients to explore their out-of-network insurance benefits as a way to help recover the costs of therapy.

Are you eligible for reimbursement through insurance?

  • Start by calling or emailing the contact information provided on your insurance card. Be sure to have your policy reference numbers handy ahead of time.

If your insurance supports out-of-network coverage (commonly PPO plans), I can provide a Superbill—which is a detailed invoice for clinical services. I encourage all clients to explore their out-of-network insurance benefits as a way to help cover the cost of therapy.

  • Ask your insurance representative, “Does my coverage include “out-of-network” benefits for mental health care?” and “Specifically, for outpatient psychotherapy via tele-health?”

  • Ask your insurance representative, “Do I have a deductible that I have to meet before out-of-network tele-health services would be covered?” and “If so, what amount is remaining before I am entitled for reimbursement for any associated out-of-pocket fees?

  • Ask your insurance representative, "How much can my plan cover for mental health service code 90837 when seen by a Psychologist?" You can also try asking "Could you clarify the highest permitted cost for the mental health service code 90837 when consulting a psychologist, and what portion of that maximum permitted cost does my plan cover?" (This fraction of the highest permitted cost indicates the reimbursement you would get)

I’m happy to work with you if you have any questions along the way!

 SOME QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVe:

  • Good Faith Estimate

In compliance with the No Surprises Act effective January 1, 2022, all healthcare providers are required to notify clients of their federal rights and protections against “surprise billing.” The No Surprises Act requires that we inform you orally and in writing of your federally protected rights to receive a notification when services are rendered by an out-of-network provider, whether or not a client is uninsured or if a client elects not to use their insurance. Given my current rates and the typical length of therapy, most clients who cover all expenses out-of-pocket pay between $2,000-$3,500 in total. We will be able to discuss a more specific estimate to your situation after the initial evaluation and treatment planning.

  • Embracing telehealth therapy means embracing flexibility, accessibility, and comfort. It offers the opportunity to engage in therapy from a space where you feel most secure - your home. It eliminates commute time, allows for greater privacy, and is easily accessible, bringing therapeutic guidance to you at the click of a button. Studies affirm the effectiveness of telehealth therapy, ensuring that you receive quality care and develop a strong healing relationship in this convenient format.

  • I have intentionally set aside a limited number spots on my case load to offer sessions at a reduced fee for those who might find it challenging financially to receive treatment otherwise. If you or your household is managing on limited or no income, please know that I’m here to support and help. During our initial 15-minute consultation, I am more than happy to explore this option with you to discuss further and explore what best fits your needs. Please note that these spots are limited due to high demand. As an alternative, Group Therapy may be a more affordable alternative to consider.

  • There is a 48-hours advanced notice policy to cancel/reschedule your appointment, or you will be required to pay the full cost of the session. This is necessary because a time commitment is made to you and your session time is held exclusively for you.

At the outset of our work, I will provide you with one excused missed appointment/or late rescheduled session to compensate for true emergencies or unavoidable circumstances. However, after the fee is waived once, the cancellation policy will be in effect for all subsequent missed or late rescheduled appointments.

  • I’m licensed through PSYPACT, an interstate compact designed to facilitate the practice of both telepsychology and the temporary in-person, face-to-face practice of psychology across state boundaries, to accept clients in participating states.

I'm accepting tele-health clients located primarily within the state of Florida and South Carolina. If you are located in the Tampa Bay Area, reach out to discuss in-person options.
